What is your native language?
добро пожаловать! Я тоже изучаю русский язык, но меня native language английски.
Hey! I understood some of that - Didn't know the "welcome," but knew you said you were studying Russian and that you were a native English speaker...If you can call that English.
My native language is English. I grew up with computers and my vocabulary and sentence structure came from talking to people online. In retrospect AOL chat rooms should not have been as educating as they were.
Hey xero, welcome to MR.
So, are you saying that you didn't have any English classes in school? Were you home schooled and if so you didn't have any text books or any literature or other home school workbooks for English? How are you doing with your English in college? I know many US colleges are now making sophomores take a mandatory English class prior to starting or take an exam to get out of the class as many of the students entering in college don't have the necessary writing skills because they use too much computer/text slang and the actual teaching of sentence structure (diagramming sentences and grammar) aren't being taught in schools.
I only speak two languages, English and bad English.
