Hmmm.... apply for citizenship if Russia at 50 years old seems like a really attractive idea to me.
How do I qualify? Then I could retire legally 10 years early!!

I could buy a little (luxury) dacha in Karelia and have a charming life as a Russian babushka in my old age. If there is anything left..........of my British private and state pension.......... by then, and if Sweden pays me a state pension.... then I should manage fine..!

If I am lucky, Russia has solved all its problems by then and is a prosperous, corruption free and well organised democracy..... lol! And drop the silly visa requirement so all my friends can come visit me without any hassle.

I'd live on the mainline train and go by superfast bullet train to St Petersburg for shopping..... Beginning to like this idea!
