A question for the Russians of the forum: Did you celebrate Russia Day today, and if so, how? Is it a proper holiday for you, or as I read somewhere, "just a day off from work" ?

I never celebrate it. I even can't imagine how I would. :)
No, it's not a holiday AT ALL. Just some formal one.
I celebrate!
I piously celebrate any day one can stay in bed till afternoon. :D
This way, this holiday is as good as any other.
We celebrated with a family reunion, opening a swimming season, and a couple of drinks) Though I don't remember any thouhgts about Russia
I have never celebrate this day. I hate that day when USSR demolished into several independent nations. Ok, we couldn't build communism, but it is not mean that we must crush all the country. There is one law: divide and rule. I think that it law was applying to the USSR.
Day of Russia?? What is that?
