could anyone tell me and maybe, make me listen to a few words that end with and without a soft sign. i always have trouble figuring out the difference and i can absolutely not pronounce the difference.
god, i even have a hard time finding such words.
like two words looking exactly the same except for a final "ь" for the second one.
vor and vor' maybe (i think vor' exists:/).

Ok, here's a tip for those who have both a mic and a desire to help.
Вон - вонь, кон - конь, гол - голь, бит - бить, правит - править, квасит - квасить, вычислить - вычислит.
пар - парь:
Ran -- Ran', Rana -- Ranya, Dvesti -- Dves'ti, Vorot -- Vorot'.
These words don't exist in pairs, I invented them only on the purpose to show you the difference between hard and soft consonants.
it's getting a bit clearer (it's obviously easier with a N than a R).
