Zvenigorod is a perfect destination for a day trip from Moscow.
The town is just about an hour and a half from Moscow by electric train from Belorusskiy train station.
Its most known site is Savvino-Storozhevskiy monastery and an ancient town location Gorodok.
The monastery has been restored some time ago and looks just great.
Free entrance, photography on the territory is allowed.
It is possible to visit a belfry with pilgrims' groups or from the permission of a bell-ringer.
However, it is forbidden to make photos inside churches.
There is also a museum on the monastery territory.
