Hi! I wish to be Russian! Please help me to do this!
20, Female, USA, Nice, No grossness please.

31 yo, male, russian, 190/90, wish to be afroamerican...
"Russian" is not only nationality it is ethnicity also. So "I wish to be Russian" has no sence. If you want to emigrate in Russia you are welcome and it is not very hard procedure, but I really don't know how to help you to be russian...

to be russian consists of 2 things.
U need some slavic genes, and u need at leat 1 parents born in one of the 13 former Soviet states. If you have niether of these then. НЕ ПЛАЧЬ НЕ ПЛАЧЬ !!!!

I really should dare not ask the question, but why do you want to be Russian, and what do you hope to accomplish by doing so? Cause like JJ said.

"To be Russian" means to have a certain feeling in your heart. If you have such a desire, you can consider yourself to be a genuine Russian.

Slur - to speak disparagingly of:

We all know that you don't mean anything bad by it, but there are just some words you just don't use.

As I noticed they alway use the same words in their rap songs. Is this "racial slurs" too?
Why a "wish to be black" is not equal to a "wish to be russian"? Kinda "all animals are equal but some animals more equal than other".
The last question to MishkaNika: Did you ask this question without kidding or "racial slurs"? It is just interesting to me, because even my 6 y.o daughter knows that she will never be anybody but russian.

Ha.. yes, in rap songs that word is often used. I'm not quite sure how to put it, but it is ACCEPTED if they (afro-americans) use it between themselves. If we (anyone not afro-american) use it it's a racial slur, if they say it, it's almost a term of friendship (sort of). It's very hard for me to think of a good way to explain it without getting into the history of the word.

joysof and lindzi, i'm amazed you were so hard on JJ about 'nigga'. You must know, as I do, that the Russians condsider 'nigr' (sp?) a totally normal word, and by inference all of them assume that 'nigger' and its variants in English are the same.
