Thread: зато

I can't remember that construction to say зато in English. I tried to look it up in dicrionaries but I found nothing :( Here's a couple examples:

Я не умею кататься на сноуборде, зато я умею кататься на коньках.
Я не смог поехать во Францию, зато я съездил на Аляску.

Could you tell me all the ways to say it in English, even some that sounds not very good?

Well, I should have said "I tried to look it up in dicrionaries but didn't find that construction."
