Вы не против, если я буду говорить по-английски?
Do you mind me speaking English?
Is this correct?
What I am actually trying to say, is if he 's okay to keep the conversation in English, not Russian.

Is it OK if....
I would not use your phrase, although it is grammatical. Prob the most colloq. would be Is it ok if I speak English.
+1. Your variant is ok, but Chaika's are better. And you could also use "we" instead of "I" if you wished:Originally Posted by chaika

Заранее благодарю всех за исправление ошибок в моём русском.
Thank you for replies.
I have to say this to a man who speaks little Russian, so I write the simplest phrases in Russian to him and then I have to switch to English. That's why it's "I", not "we". I need a polite question if he thinks it is ok that he is writing in Russian and I am replying in English.
And... I'm always grateful for correcting my mistakes, even if I do not mention this in my signature
