    da-da-da-da-da

Are you able to do the "da-da-da"-thing, that quickly, that Jennifer does at the end (8:39) of this clip? "Da" is meant to represent that sound that Americans do in "water".
Everybody's welcome, as I'd like to know if this is something that only Jennifer can do, or only Americans can do, or everybody can do, but me.

E-learner! Finally something I CAN DO! Yes, I can da-da-da just as quickly as Jennifer. Just don't ask me to roll my "Rs"!

(oh, and as a side note, you can tell if someone is from one area of Maryland or another based upon how they pronounce the word "water." If you are from the Baltimore area, you pronounce it "WAR-der." They also say "warsh" for the word "wash")

Maybe you should start with the old The Police song first for some practice.

I am going to correct you on one little thing since I live in Baltimore. LOL water is pronounced Wooder or wuder don't ask me why. It bugs me to no end. I am like there is no wu or wood in WATER!

another Baltimore thing seems to be the word ASK is almost always pronounced as AXED. ARGGGGGGGGG.

Oh I can do the da-da-da AND roll my r's. YEAH! ok so I have this oral fixation to do things properly with my mouth. HAHAA

She really has a supple tongue! I can't do it that fast, mine just kind of thuds along in slow motion.

How interesting! Not being any kind of an expert in the English language (just an average user), I've always wondered what happened to the nice and puffy "t" sound in the words such as "water" and "little". I thought that those who speak like that are nothing but sloppy speakers... Now I know even what a flap "t" is. Hmm.... whether it will help me to be better (the flap "T"?) understood or not, it was fun to watch nonetheless

The "wooder" pronunciation of water extends up to eastern PA as well. I don't say it quite as pronounced as that, but I know a lot of people who do.
