I heard a song which is called "vamos" I don't know what is the language; probabaly Spanish or Portuguese (judging by sounding). I don't have to know it for some practical use, I'm just wondering, maybe somebody knows what it means?

Spanish, I think it means "Davaj" -> Vamos a la playa = Davaj na plyazh = Let's go to the beach
Please, correct me if I'm wrong...
EDIT: typos
Vamos = let's go or we go (in Spanish)
It's also the source of the word "vamoose", which means "let's go" in slang English.
i usually get a vamoose as more of a "poshal" rather than a "davai", when my parents tell me to get lost or somthing. *note i said parents, i dont think u'l hear anyone under 40 say this*
In Germany people under 40 call their parents "meine Altern" :D
