It's Peter Szumowski's paintings. He has _ Polish roots I believe (judging by his surname), but he counts definetly as a British artist. His works are hard to find on the Web and are displayed mostly by tiny samples on several sites. The pictures I love the most are among the four collectible Ahmad tea caddies - my little passion. I have all four and they stand on my piano and inspire me like _ windows to the golden olden times.
His works usually tell stories like that - the evening gardens, the peaceful strolls, the men in tall hats and women in long skirts - a kind of a Victorian sonet_ to the lovely past we have lost. I love his world. As well as the primitive paintings.
So, it is always like that when you study English - there are dozens of ways to explain some English words, but there can never be any better words to explain them than just these English words. Like these two titles.
