    need some help...

    Проверьте, пожалуйста, несколько предложений:

    1. She always does what she likes; there is no one who can reason with her.
    2. She passes herself off as a university professor.
    3. However rich her family may be, she still lives in a small flat.
    4. She turned down the job she was was offered in a big company.
    5. After a long discussion, he managed to bring her round to his point of view.

    Похоже на правду. Кроме "was was".

    Pretty good

    All the sentences are fine, although you duplicated "was" in one of them.

    The sentences do have a British feel to them. An American would write them slightly differently. Indeed, not all Americans would know what "flat" means.

    The sentences sound very good. However, I don't know anything about semi-colons. I would have just made two separate sentences out of that one.
    Don't worry about "flat". If Americans don't know what one is then they need to learn. They are not the only ones who speak English!

    Yes, otherwise the use of semicolon is fine here. Molodetz! (Sorry, I had to spell that phonetically as I don't have Russian font on my keyboard.)
