Социалистическое соревнование -
массовое движение трудящихся за наивысшие достижения в производстве материальных и духовных благ, за наивысшую производительность труда как решающего условия победы коммунизма. В С. с. проявляется творческая инициатива трудящихся в борьбе за выполнение народно-хозяйственных планов, улучшение качества продукции, повышение темпов научно-технического прогресса, снижение материальных и трудовых затрат на единицу продукции.
Кроме материального, передовики С. с. получают и моральное поощрение: государство присваивает им звания Героя Социалистического Труда, награждает орденами и медалями. Для награждения победителей С. с. учреждены переходящие Красные знамена ЦК КПСС, Совета Министров СССР, ВЦСПС и ЦК ВЛКСМ, единые общесоюзные знаки "Победитель социалистического соревнования" и "Ударник девятой пятилетки".

It is just NOT true - try it! Next letter goes ONLY to the very end of the text, so it is NOT possible to "normally edit/correct text" - one can NOT
"place a cursor in the middle of the text" and let Keyboard to insert a letter there.
