Also I think of livejournal being a kind of blog. That is blog is the more general term. All livejournals are blogs, but not all blogs are livejournals. It's kind of like Kleenexes -- LiveJournal has just kind of become the "brand name." Thus, all kleenexes are tissues, but not all tissues are Kleenexes. Does that make any sense?

Livejournal is a type of blog. Other types include Xanga, Blogspot, Myspace...

It's a bit strange, that Blog = web log ..b is the last letter in the word "web" :roll:
I guess it just sounds a lot nicer than "Wog".
