    Lefthanded people

    Hello everybody!

Do you know, that the 13th of August is the day of leftheaded people?
I think that it's a little bit late to congratulate everybody who does a lot of thing with the left hand...... But, anyway! My congratulations and best wishes!

I am lefthanded girl and I have some troublesin everydy life. For example, it's a little bit difficult for me to orient in the unknown place or to explain to somebody the direction, because very often I confuse left and right.....

I do it not because I don't know where left or gight is, no, just because my parents tought me to write with my right hand and they made me do different things with my right hand too.

But I can write both right and left hand. But My right hand writes quicker, then left.

And I would like to ask you, is there anybody lefthanded person? Do you have troubles in your life?

And how do you think is it important to reteach the children?

And some people think that lefthanded people are different from righthanded. How do you think?
Я интересуюсь будущим, потому что собираюсь просести там всю свою жизнь!

Left-headed people exist - most people are. If you are right handed then chances are you are left-headed. The brain is in two main sections and one is dominant - usually the opposite to the dominant hand because of how the body works.

    yep

she means left handed(or did you already know that?) To answer your question In the U.S. back in the day not so much anymore, left handed was actualy associated with evil. it was an old custom so people would specifically teach using the right hand. YOu might as well conform your kids to this so that they don't need specailty items, like scissors, etc, etc. OR best yet teach them to use both hands well. We should teach children to write with both hands at the same time, like lifting weights you gotta switch sides, come on world!

You can't teach people to be right handed. You develop a preference after a few weeks of life and you can't change it; no matter how hard you try it will never be completely even between the hands unless you develop ambidextrously to start with.

I'm lefthanded, and my parents never forced me to use the right one. I enjoy being differently-handed.

I don't know if it is typical of us to be especially bad at handwriting... it would seem to be true.

I would say that's because the teachers/parents never taught us how to write properly (because they had no clue how we should be doing it correctly), so we essentially taught ourselves how to write. That's my excuse anyway. Of course, once my brother told me I hold a pencil "like a caveman" so maybe I don't do so great a job.

Sorry to pour water on your parade, but it's no great shakes to be left-handed.

I am left-handed. Here in the US I have read studies about what you can expect from being left-handed. The main one that sticks in my mind is that you will die 5 years earlier than if you were right-handed. And so here I am за холмом т.е. уже за 60. And I worry. I'm already older than my dad when he died.

Russia probably doesn't have any research at all in this area. Correct me if I'm wrong cuz I'd like to know.

    Thanks.

I think that the whole "5 years younger" deal is just a rounded average.

I think the left handed deaths come from people using right handed things. For example left handed guy uses chainsaw, holds it wrong, saws off his arm and dies.

When you tally up the deaths + ages of people who died, it totals to be 5 years lost.

But it doesn't mean you will die at 75 when your right handed brother lives until 80.
Вот это да, я так люблю себя. И сегодня я люблю себя, ещё больше чем вчера, а завтра я буду любить себя to ещё больше чем сегодня. Тем что происходит,я вполне доволен!
