Generally, "I love animals." But if someone wants to specify that they like rather than love animals he'll say, "I like animals." If you say "I like animals there's usually some sort of negative conotation:Quote:

I disagree. To me "I like animals" sounds like a perfectly normal way to say it, whereas "I love animals" sounds childishly over-enthusiastic (or creepy :) ).Quote:
