Is there a more interesting expression for this, I mean except "drink too much alcohol"

"Wankered" would be British, too.


And a few more colorful drinking-related phrases:

Beergoggles: how your vision is altered to find members of the opposite sex more attractive when you're drunk: "He was wearing beergoggles last night."

To chug: to drink a beer really fast. Also can say "to slam" or "to pound".

Dead soldiers: empty beer bottles or empty shot glasses, lined up on the bar.

Munchies: food cravings caused by alcohol or marijuana.

Bedspins: when you're drunk and laying on your bed, and it feels like the world is spinning.

Synonyms for "to vomit": puke, hurl, heave, spew, yurk, york, retch, barf, ralph, blow chunks, pray to the porcelain goddess, lose your lunch.

I've heard it, but it's not common, not among people younger than 50. We don't use the word "booze" that much anymore. More common is "liquor", "alcohol", "drinks". For "boozed up", we'd say "liquored up", or use one of the other phrases above.

I can't believe the Brits didn't add "soused" to their list.

I forgot the great Yiddish word: to get shikkered!

smash it right up - going to go on a mamoth drinking session. oh and also "get plasterd"

also, after you're "gone" or "obliterated," you sometimes "yak"
which means when you're really drunk you puke

i dont know if anybody else uses this teram but i do! tactical spew = making your self sick when you've outdone yourself. sometimes mid way through the night you need a tactial spew so you can carry on drinking.

Haven't used the term, but I have done it. Only I did it to keep from getting arrested!! (It worked!)

I remembered one thing. In my university group my friends, when they want to say about somebody that he drunk much alcohol, they say simply "он синий", "мы синие" etc. I never heard this term in other places, so I'm wondering, have somebody of Russian users heard such expression?

I've never heard or used it.

1. It may me a slang word, and I'm far from slang.
2. Probably this word was made up by a relatvely small group of people (students of University, for ex.), and nobody really knows of it.

By the way, He is blue - Он голубой - means He is a gay.

I haven't remeber where (in what sentense I have heard them) but it exist too. Of cause it is slang, but a lot of words before were slang too.

another word for an alcoholic, or someone who drinks too much is a lush.
the next day, you'll have the cocktail flu. (hangover)
you can say that someone who is drunk is "lit up like a christmas tree"

i just say, " i got drunk off of my as*"

What about the Jewish (Yiddish?) term that Mel Brooks uses in "Robin Hood Men in Tights": Fershnikket (sp?) :lol:

Tu-160:"Синими" некоторые не в меру активные любители марихуаны называют алкоголиков. "Синька" или "Синий" — алкоголь на их жаргоне. В переводе "Властелина колец" Гоблина Гэндальф говорит: "Не, с синим я завязал".
BTW, "Белый" = кокаин.
If 'munchies' ("хавчик", "на хавчик пробило") means when you want eat a lot, then I also wonder how the situation is called in English when you feel fear or panic after smoking a weed or something. In Russian it is "измена", "сесть на измену".
