Firstly, what is "The Force"? Is it a bad translation, or a reference to Star Wars?

Secondly, if you are holding something, then it is in your hands, not on them. If something is on your hands, then it's something undesirable, like paint or dirt, or blood (figuratively).

We want to use this phrase as slogan. For mage academy.

In first i mean mental force, force of your mind. In this case it correctly or how need to say it correctly?

In second case i think yes, "in" right.

Что-то вроде: Сила в вашем разуме, мир в ваших руках.

Смысл посыла: Вы управляете силой мысли, повелеваете миром и(можно добавить) направляете силу(разума) рукой.

Well, a slogan isn't necessarily going to be exactly like normal speech, so keep that in mind.

If this is going to be the motto of your academy, I would use something like, "Power in Your Mind -- The World in Your Hands.

Normally, a grammatically correct sentence requires a verb, but a motto can be an exception.

And stay away from "the force" in English - otherwise people will think of Star Wars. At least, in the States.
