    Audio resources for English learners.

    Hi,

I am trying to help my niece in Russia who is complaining about bad ear for English.

I am looking for sites where you can have both text and audio (if possible where you can download and listen off-line).

Please post if you know such sites.

Also, if you're in Russia, which textbooks with audio are now popular for learning English?

Pimsleur makes English for Russian along the same style that their Russian course has. I don't know how many levels they have. So far I have only seen a Level I. But it may be worth looking into. Perhaps there is a Russian Pimsleur website.

Thanks DDT for your reply, I should have mentioned that her English is just over basics. She can say/undertsand simple things but has big trouble understanding whole texts read out loud. Pimsleur is a bit too basic and very expensive. I used it for learning Asian languages, wasn't impressed.

    Is there anything else?
