    Auberge - Chris Rea

    Hello, all, Its me again.
Im making a traslation of this song. Actually, there is not even ONE normal Russian translation of this great song on the internet. (all that i've found have no sence, just a number of words)
So, I need your help to catch main sence of it...
I guess the main sence (don't laught if im wrong)... its about... love to drink?

This srange guy with the dagger... and sudden itch... its a metafors, which mean he suddenly want to drink some alcohol?

    On the hard fast train
    On the road to gain
Something gets right through to your telling bone
    Theres a sudden itch
    An electric twitch
Sometimes I swear this bodys got a mind of its own

    This is the naked truth
    This is the light
Theres only one place left to go
    Auberge

    You meet the silent type
    On a windy trail
With a shiny cloak and an unseen silver dagger
You can talk till you ache
    Give yourself one more break
You can tell by the look on his face that it just doesnt matter

    This is the naked truth
    This is the light
Theres only one place left to go
    Auberge

    Oh, Give me a weekend
    Give me a day
Dont like what Im seeing (though?) I hear what you say
    Think with a dagger
And youll die on your knees
    Begging for mercy
    Singing please mister please

    This is the naked truth
    This is the light
Theres only one place left to go
    Auberge

Those lyrics are pretty indirect. Hard to say what the heck he is singing about. My guess is that it's about sudden sexual attraction and the one night stands that are the result. The line "Please, Mister, Please" is a reference to an Olivia Newton-John song (http://www.cowboylyrics.com/lyrics/oliv ... 11899.html) that was really popular back in the seventies.
