The noun for that means "loan" is:
ссуда

I have a question though, is ссудить pronounced exactly like судить, or is it possible to hear that there are two S's? (or whatever the plural of S is ) It might be my mind screwing with me, but I seem to hear the оо in сообщение pronounced longer than only one о, too. Is that correct?

IMHO the first variant is rarely used...
