Could you ever consider yourself as part of an 'ethnic minority'?

Not any more than my father could call himself an 'ethnic minority' as a Brit in Holland. But I must say that Russian numbers in Holland are rising as well...

I wrote a page long analysis of the four rather irrelevant responses to this topic and the motivations for such posts but it was rather long and boring. So, anyhow, to pick out the most relevant stuff: Friend, I think he was asking Russians if they considered themselves ethnic minorities. But there is something oddly quaint about somebody having great expectations for a big argument in their thread, and alas, being greeted with silence. Sort of like the ambitious Dr. WillBeBetter who was considering opening another thread for political discussion of his rather mediocre story, sure it would cause so much discussion, and instead greeted with indifference. And then there is that strange urge of people to want to write something, anything, just so his invitation for discussion will be answered somewhat!
