I wonder where they get this one about sneezing? Never heard of it. The rest are rather widespread though.
A colleague of mine is rather fond of the sneezing one.
I never heard about three others: defecating birds, losing a card game and returning home (that is, I know it's bad luck, but have no idea what to do in this case).
Some of them are not too common, but the one about sneezing is well-known here. Almost every time someone sneezes repeatedly in the middle of a conversation another person says: "Ah! That's the truth, then" (jokingly, of course). Only it usually counts if the one who listens sneezes, not the speaker.
My granny was very adamant about that. :DQuote:
...returning home (that is, I know it's bad luck, but have no idea what to do in this case).
They missed another three rather common superstitions, though: spilled salt, whistling in the house and giving/taking something over the threshold. Also there's one about puting smth on inside out, but I don't know how common it is.
6. If your [s:2nj3jt96]right[/s:2nj3jt96] left palm itches you will receive what? - a large financial gain
It's LEFT hand, not right. If your right palm itches you're going to meet someone new.
They mentioned the one about whistling in the very end with the score. They said something like "you've got 9 out of 10. But we bet you don't know what it means to whistle indoors" :DQuote:
