Prince Vasily is the husband of whatshername, the only surviving legitimate child of the dying whatshisname, the father of the illegitimate child Pierre. He wants the dying whatshisname to give all his money to his daughter, and is expecting him to do so. All these Princes and Counts and all that stuff can have thousands of different "positions". The fact is they are aristocratic, which means they eat all the cake and have parties every night and otherwise do bugger all, as VendingMachine so eloquently puts it.Quote:
