Redundant?
Hi, I'm just about finished with Russian for Beginners (as I garner, it covers about the same things as New Penguin) and was looking at where to go from here. I have some titles that look good, but I'm wondering if it's redundant to have all them (in that they'd all cover the same things.) Anyone have information?

I would not recommend Wade or Borris & Christian. They are for more advanced, not for a second-year student if I understand you correctly. (I think that goes for Unbegaun too, not sure.)
I don't know the others.
If you're looking for a good dictionary, lots of people use Muller - even I had it when I was in college 40 years ago. For today I would recommend The Oxford E-R and R-E pair, a bit pricey though.

Well, in the back of Duff it recommends Borras and Unbegaun for those wishing to continue their studies. But I've heard now from several places things along the lines of that they're more advanced. Do you know of anything for second-year students?

У меня есть книги Borras и Wade. Обе - справочники а не учебники (упражнений нет). Советую купить учебник второго года изучения, например Голоса 2 или Начало 2. В комплекте -- textbook, workbook, tape, and optional CD.
А также можно купить 750 Russian Verbs and their Uses. Список глаголов, с примерами употребления.

Буду пытаться писать по-русски... мне ие нужны упражнений. каждый день я говорю язык. Тоже, Голоса и Начало слишком много. А спасибо :)
