Hi
I am thinking of getting a tattoo of my name done in Russian.
Please could someone tell me how Ben or Benjamin would be written.
Many thanks

Make sure you see the Cyrillic characters properly on the screen before you make the tattoo.
Good point, Indra! I can imagine some people having this as their tattoo:Originally Posted by Indra

Hoping that someone could help me...
I am Italian and I am thinking to get a tattoo ; my name (Nicola) in Russian.
My russian friend sayd that in the Russian culture to make a tattoo of own name is not nice, because give the impression of a man that has been in the jail, so she advice me to don't make it.
THIS IS TRUE ????????
(In Italy this is not a problem, but I will move to russia.)

I agree with your Russian friend - it's not good idea
A good book on this subject is the Russian Criminal Tattoo Encyclopedia
by Danzig Baldayev. Some of the tattoos shown are pretty graphic, but it's an interesting read nonetheless.
I might say go ahead if you were going to stay in Italy, but since you are going to Russia...I really wouldn't recommend it.
