hey people! i was wondering if you would know some lists of real russian names. i would like to have one myself.. my sister's boyfriend is russian and his name is alek.. and so far i have noticed that the common male russian name is alek... i just would like to have a russian name just for fun

And there's no name 'Алек", there are "Алексей" (Aleksey, Alexey, Aleksei, Alexei but not Alexi) and "Александр".

well his name is spelled alek, but he actually pronounces it aleX with an X.. weird huh? well yeah thanks for the list!

Female names- Olga, Maria, Mariana, Tatiana, Mashka, Olishka, Alona, Alina, Anastasia, Nikola, Zorka, Vava, Vera, Katya, Ekaterina, Valentina, Ralista, Natasha, Marsha, Aleksandra, Svetlana, Sveta, Galina, Yelena. My favourite is Natalya.

Some of names in your list aren't Russian (eg Sven, Leonard, Marsha and your favorite name Ranadin too), some of them are diminutive of the other ones (eg Alyosha-Alexei, Vasa-Vasiliy, Sveta-Svetlana), some aren't very polite (eg Mashka).

lol, i love when people make out other languages alphabets to be nonsensical chicken scratch of which only a select few can decode the "symbols".

Foul language is called "мат" and it's pronounced as "maht".
