Hi everybody !
hi there everybody,I'm Nick from England and this is my first post.I found the website through google and its proving pretty cool.In my workplace we tend to have students each year from the old Soviet states.Last year we had some fantastic Ukrainian girls who I have remained very friendly with and are returning to England this year. The students I have with me this year are Latvian. Each lot are teaching me more russian as I am so fascinated with learning it.It is just getting the proper pronunciation of the words right !! Be cool to hear from anyone especially Ukrainians. Can someone firstly tell me my name in Russian ? I am also called Nicholas.

If you want exact russian equivalent of your name: its Николай (Nikolay).
If you want just its russian transliteration, it will be Николас.
BTW, the last russian emperor was Николай II - but in english he is known as Nicholas II. So, I guess, you can name yourself any way. :)
