We are considering Вениамин as a probable name for our child. English equivalent would be Benjamin and this is not exactly to our liking, especially it's short form "Ben". Are there any other possible equivalents or derivatives?

What's wrong with Ben?
It can be "Benny" also.
Benster, Ben the Hen, etc.
If you ever tried to name a baby you should know that actually EVERY name is wrong in some way in the eyes of one of the parents : )Quote:

There's also Benson.
All of these have the -Ben stem, so I don't know how you feel about that. If you are looking for something derived from Western European language, you might simply try google searching for "baby names" and you'll get a ton of hits.
