But i thought I'd share.
It started when I saw the name Vagin on the internet. I realised that the female version is Vagina. I then thought, what if there was a Anastasiya Vagina. She be Nastya Vagina.

As I said, it's immature, but it made me chuckle.

And when she got married to Николай Трубач she became Труба ...
But don't forget that if it's a Russian surname then the stress would be on the first syllable or on the last "a" (here most likely on the first), also the letter g makes "g" and not "dzh" sound. So it would be pretty far from the English pronunciation of this word. :)Quote:

Bollocks. Neither "peace duke" nor "peace door ball" sound dirty in Russian if pronounced with the correct accent in English - the 'c' in 'peace' isn't voiced and the vowels are very different. Actually, if they sound dirty to you you should work on your accent, mate.

I got "yellow blue bus" - it's a corruption of "я люблю вас", but I couldn't think of any Russian phrase for "does your arse fit ya" or "bollocks to your bollocks". And what does "don't be a шапка" mean?

This way any innocent word can be made to look obscene or silly or both. Take "come", for instance. This "m" looks like "п" + "л" printed close to each other, thus "come" means "сопле" (to a piece of snot) - and when we think of the adult meaning of come the etymology of jumbled letters beсоплеs even more obvious.

Even in English I always incorrectly use the word 'levitate' when I mean 'gravitate'. I was visiting a tarot card reader. And the discussion came to me saying "I tend to levitate towards women". :lol: It was an appropriate surrounding to make such a slip-up, with all the mythical paraphenalia. I could probably do with a cute way of remembering to say the correct one. Though that particular experience itself may have solved it for me. I'll probably always think twice before using the word 'gravitate', to double check I'm not about to say 'levitate'.
I Swedish movies english speaking people always find the endings offensive, as it says "Slut" meaning "the end" :D
