Hello to everybody,
I would like to go in Russia, and especially in Moscow !
Why ? Because I like russian people, and I would like to discover this culture, this country, and this history...
I would like to work in Russia, for one or two month (maybe more, why not...), but I don't know what can I do...
Do you have some ideas to help me ?

Get a tourist visa/ student visa/ business visa and teach private students Greek! :D You can make a alot of money that way.
Or if your English is pretty good, you can make even more money!
what's the most flexible visa with regard to traveling around Russia. I'm looking at teaching English in Russia but would like the option of doing some traveling.

does one need teacher certification to teach english in russia?
In a lot of them yes but then again like everywhere else there are plenty of schools that will take a non-certified English speaker over a certified Russian etc.
are there not enough english teachers already?
sorry to ask so many questions, but i am actually wanting to do this as a career plan.

In my university years, we had enough native English teachers every year. It's nothing but a contract issue.

Я говорю не о каком-нибудь там вузе, а аж о знаменитом Институте Иностранных Языков в Москве. Ну так вот, фиг вам там нэтива дадут. Даже не представляю этого, если честно.
Нет, ну вот был у нас там один настоящий немец, я его даже один раз видела "вживую" - он пришел к нам на занятие, потому что в классе стоял компьютер, за которым ему надо было поработать. Просидел всё занятие. Разумеется, молча и занимаясь своими делами. Если память мне не изменяет, он раз в неделю читал студентам какой-нибудь интересный доклад на немецком. Но это совсем не одно и то же, что преподавать язык первокурсникам, правда же?
i honestly would not know what kind of requirements are required to teach at a university. at any rate i currently have nothing but an AAS in networking and communications(IT), which is a two year technical degree with core subjects.
i currently have an application in to a local university. i will major in german and minor in russian.
A TEFL would be a start. You can do a 2 week intensive certification in most accredited institutions...
Many IT-companies are organizing English courses for their employees. I think they'll pay gladly to a teacher who's a native speaker and an IT specialist (or at least they can hire you as a second teacher in addition to the certified Russian one).Quote:
