And now for the news...
I want to practice reading Russian and want to keep up to date with Russian news, but if I tried to read 'Pravda' or one of the other Russian papers it would be three days before I even managed to finish the first artical :o
Does anyone know of any Russian websites aimed at younger generations, early teens maybe, that talk about the current news in Russia but use more basic grammar and vocabulary so I might have more chance of understanding the news and learning vocab and structures from it?

Try checking out BBC Russian news. They have a section called "English for Russians" where they translate a lot of political and news terms between Russian and English. While the section is titled "English for Russians", it still works for people learning Russian.

I've never seen a website with a worse layout than pravda.ru. What are those bozos thinking? If I click on a picture, I expect to go to a page with an article about that picture. Instead, they send you off to чёрт знает -- some page that has nothing to do with the image link.
Arggh!!! :x
