I have been working with it with a student for nearly two years. Now at the end of book 2, we find that the darn thing never mentions participles of any kind. I had to do a write up myself for this gross oversight (actually, I worked over the presentation of one website).

But otherwise, the Russian is pretty normal conversational (prolly why no participles!). Here and there there are typos.

Голоса is another good introductory text with workbook and tapes.
