    Inexpensive Pimsleur option

After a frustrating search (googling "used Pimsleur Russian" brings up mostly reports/reviews of having used the Pimsleur method) I finally found a site that sells used Pimsleur cds (Russian I Comprehensive for $129) and then buys them back for $100 as long as they're still in good shape. If they don't have in stock the exact title you need next, you can 'reserve' the next copy they get in, and they can from experience estimate the likely length your wait will be. Sorry if this has been discussed before -- I tried searching here on 'used Pimsleur' and had the same problem.

    Here's the site: Used Pimsleur

That will work for those who can afford the time and money to use this option. I simply downloaded all 90 Pimsleur Lessons for free online. I am a jobless 17 year-old high school boy who cannot afford these lessons so I did anything I could to get my hands on a few good resources.

P.S. *I do not condone illegal downloading of any type nor do I encourage it*

Have you checked your local libraries? I believe many public libraries carry Pimsleur products. In where I live (Toronto), we are allowed to borrow each set for 6 weeks, much longer than books and movies, because they are language CDs.

I did try my library first -- they have only a single copy of Pimsleur Russian I on digital and a single hard copy, and because there is a waiting list you can only take them out for 3 weeks. So I started with the library's copy but within a week realized I would need it for longer than three weeks, so I was looking for a cheaper option. I figure $29 plus the cost of shipping is about as cheap as I'm going to find them!

I was wondering if people here would be interested in a resale area? Is that kosher here?
