Thread: How do I pronounce yerry?

I've recently started learning Russian and I'm having a little trouble with pronunciation of letters like yerry. I've been pronouncing it like the uoy in buoy,only shorter. Is that right? Also I can't figure out how to use Russian characters on this forum. Can anyone help?

Is it letter 'ы' , that is between ь and ъ in the alphabet? It is pronounced as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Close_cent ... nded_vowel

In the same way as on other sites - install (select) Russian keyboard layout, select hotkey to switch to it, switch, (optionally- draw letters on keyboard) and type.
