    Help with learning Russian please?

    Hey!

Could someone help me with learning Russian? I've been trying for over a year and haven't gotten anywhere! Partly because my family doesn't support me, partly because I have no money to buy things to help me, and partly because I have no one to help me. So, If it's not too much trouble, could someone help me with learning?

    Thanks!

We all are at your disposal. The first thing you need is to install a cyrillic support to your computer. But I think you can't learn the language by just browsing the forum. Perhaps, you would be able to master the reading writting skills but pronounciation needs something to hear. So I recommend purchasing some CDs at least.

Everything you need can be found at the library or on the internet for cheap if you know where to look, including CDs. There are all types of p2p and bit torrent and shareware opportunities for the adventurous. So start Googleing and read all the old threads here at Master Russian.

Now, tell me what books or resources you have used so far and perhaps we can suggest a thing or two.

Well, my library has an audio cd/cassette thing to help beginners/int. with learning Russian. As well as a book/dictionary with the Cryllic alphabet, pronounciation of each letter, and a lot of other things that I can't remember.

That's pretty much all I have right now, seeing as how I have no money to buy anything.
