Exercise oriented, computer based grammar study
Hi,
Is there a good software package out there to learn the russian grammar?
I was thinking of something very exercise oriented, aiming at automatization.
I had an excellent program for German, which would only exercise the grammar, from basic
levels to advanced ones. I would like to find something similar for Russian.
The background is that I have taught myself to read Russian texts, and nowadays I can read newspapers quite well.
Now I would like to start writing and perhaps speaking. But for that I need more basic practice.

If you know German, then you might want to take a look at russian-online.net. There are grammar exercises available, and the site also offers a stand-alone program called Ruslanka, which is platform independent and can be downloaded in a test version - that's mostly vocabulary, though.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the name of the program for German grammar? I also learn German and it sounds as if it would be very useful.
Re: Exercise oriented, computer based grammar study
I know of no German grammar software (no need for that as I am German), but there's an excellent forum for learning German with the free help of native speaker tutors such as myself here: http://forums.delphiforums.com/aboutgerman/?
Should you be interested in joining it (there are paid membership plans for Delphi, but you don't need that, just choose the basic free account), I can show you around.

Thanks. The German's on hiatus at the moment to make space in my brain for the Russian while I get started with that, but once my Russian's progressed a bit further I might start practicing German again and take you up on that.
