Which book would you reccomend?

I have zero experience with Russian, but I can speak Polish, and some terms in Russian. (mostly the words that are found in polish, or are close to Polish)

Didnt go through the list, but my first text book was golosa, which was decent. Id get 501 russian verbs in addition to any book you buy. Good resource and you wont need to get rid of it after your skill level increases.

Why not get a book about learning Russian for speakers of Polish?

I can't really read Polish, I can but not very well. I can only speak it somewhat but understand it verywell.

Well, it would be much easier for you to learn to read Polish than to learn to read Russian, methinks.

I think Golosa is a poor choice for self learners. There are no answers to the exercises for one thing.
