Thread: Uploading a picture

I tried to put a picture in the box next to the avator but failed. Can someone tell me what I did wrong? I went to my Profile and put a file in the box that said browse and pressed submit but when I checked, no picture appeared.

I also had this problem. The avatar is not uploaded if it exceeds the limits of 90 pixels by 90 pixels, and a maximum of 6 KB in size. I had to crop my photo, reduce it to 90 pixels on one side (the other side automatically reduced), reduce the color level to 256k, and then save it as a gif file before it would go below 6 KB in size.

Mandy, if this will help you can send me the image file you want to upload as an avatar. Just attach it to an e-mail (see my e-mail link at bottom of this message). I'll then try to reduce it to a size that works for an avatar and e-mail this reduced file back to you.
