Suggestions for improvement
This is a very usefull nice forum.
That is why I'd like to make two suggestions.
1. Too many categories, they overlap and the user has to dig at too many places.
And - talking about "digging" -
2. Something like "latest entries" regardless of category is missing.

Well, you can always use the View posts since last visit link, found at the top right corner of the forum homepage
