Things may look a little weird. This is because the backup used (the one from the night before they drove the database down was unfortunately overwritten by midnight's cronjob before I could salvage it) is from like July 20th or so. Some really odd stuff happened to the posts_text table, but for all of you penpals and newsletter people rest assured this was the only table that was corrupted in the debacle. To all of you who have to register for the board again: Sorry. Force of nature.

BTW don't be surprised if the current forum sections disappear and go back to resembling the ones that existed last week.

i guess the good thing about having such a massive post count, is that i can survive a few server outages and still look pretty Круто . anyways, i'm glad the server is back up, old posts or not, it's good to be able to ask questions again. i have to admit, without this forum i would've given up on november 15th of last year... i'm just glad a newbie like me has a place to go.

According to Master-russian. i registered nov 14th 2002. and, i started learning russian about a week before then, and i remember i was on the verdge of giving up, and i remember i finally found a site (this one)with a forum and i was really exited. so it's been almost a year. thanks for the compliment jasper, but i'm not that good, (as i previously thought myself to be) but i'm really happy because i found my игорёк cd i got like last january, and i remember not understanding any of it. i listened to it yesterday and about 80% was understood ! so i'm really happy !! but yea, i think i have more than answered your question jasper, so i'm done !

OK then. Could I be so bold as to ask you how many words you have learnt in total (passive and active) in the last year? Just to compare it with my progress.
