Earlier today, there was a post, advertising (yes advertising) an apartment in SPb. I have not affiliation with the lister, and I don't really care, but may I humbly make a suggestion to MasterAdmin and/or the mod who took it down? In the future, maybe you should let the post remain? Maybe you know this person, maybe they are scammers, maybe there is something else I don't know about. If this is the case, forgive me. If it was, however, just a case of you not wanting the "advertising" inserted into the forum, I think you would have been better off leaving it. As you know, members of the community routinely go to Russia. Some of us may well benefit from such an arrangment. As long as it's an appropriately posted item (as it was in the Travel section), may I suggest in the future you allow these to remain? Perhaps you shouldn't officially sanction it in explicit terms (a deluge of these things mixed with spam is not desirable -- on that we all agree), but maybe the policy of "turning a blind eye" from time-to-time would be advisable? Idiots selling phones and porn are neither appropriate nor relevent to this site's mission, but I think the aforementioned posts may be. Anyway, just my overly-lengthy two cents...
