    Pauline Hanson

It may be arrogance, but I assume most people, particularly Asians are familiar with Pauline Hanson, (http://www.wsws.org/articles/1999/mar19 ... -m09.shtml)

Well, I was sitting in crap Donald’s the other day eating my bacon and egg mc **Beep*en, and pauline hanson comes and sits down next to me.

I go, Mc Manager, Mc Manager, get over here.

He goes, what’s the problem sir,

I go, Mc manager, get this woman out of here, you already have one red headed clown in this shop.

For some reason, thick head Australians, particularly males, find this funny.
I don't, and was wondering if it's just me, or is this just not funny?

well it's not an american joke, that's for sure.
Вот это да, я так люблю себя. И сегодня я люблю себя, ещё больше чем вчера, а завтра я буду любить себя to ещё больше чем сегодня. Тем что происходит,я вполне доволен!

Ahhh, so she's a politician. I was looking at another web site that had her name under the picture of a drag queen.

You got the correct web site then (Joke, the guy you where probably looking at is Pauline Paints down, who did a number of sendups of pauline hanson that where quite funny).

She used to own a fish and chip shop in Gatton I think.

Ha! You've got to be joking.

Last time I heard she was in court for forging documents related to the registering of a political party.

Since this topic exists, I want to ask a question of such type. I saw a humorous TV show. It is called "Smack the pony" Probably from England. Sometimes it is funny but generally is stupid. Has somebody else seen it and what do you think?

    Tu,
It's not very funny imo. They don't make great comedy's in the UK anymore i'm afraid.

As to humour, it's also different the World over, i've tried to find Russian jokes amusing but end up faking a laugh. I am sure it's funny to you, but i for one, just don't get it. Pretty much same goes for much of the mainstream American humour, that can be bad too!

Irish Humour is great though, i loved Father Ted when it was on TV.

British comedy is the glue that holds the world together. Red Dwarf, Black Adder and Mr. Bean, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Peter Sellers (who shares my birthday btw ), the Goon Show, the Rutles film, any film containing Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. If England has contributed anything to the 20th century besides typhoid it would have to be the development of modern comedy. Well, they were responsible for bringing rock and roll to maturity too. Maybe I could just lump this into "forms of entertainment."

It is just about the only thing that comes on PBS in between their lame fundraising concerts featuring lackluster musicians from the 50s and early 60s. That and the Tom Baker years of Doctor Who are really the only reason to watch public television.
