Конфеты
OK, I'm about to order some Конфеты from what appears to be the only Russian food shop in Australia, and need some guildence.
I'll probably just ask the owner to make me up a "sample" pack, but is there anything in here that people find particulary nice, or not.
Any help would be appriciated.
Oh, the address, http://www.russianshop.com.au/russian_shop.html
thanks.

I find particularly nice:
- Конфеты "Птичье молоко" (highly recommended :))
- Шоколад "Театральный" (just to give you a taste of Russian chocolate)

Not sure if they sell this in australia but they definately dont sell it in the US. When i was in Russia Orbitz gum makes apple flavored gum...яблочный..if you have never had it, definately pick some up...
22 bucks for candy though? australian dollars? I was there 13 years ago and vaguely recall then being worth about half a us dollar, correct?

the ones for $22 ish are for 1000g. I don't think I could eat that much in a few months, but somthing tells me that admin might be able to...
-
z80, have you ate Russian ice-cream? I ate many different ice-creams but I think Russian one is the best.

I haven't, but I don't think I'm going to be able to get it anywere but in Russia.
I'll do a trade with you tu, you can come here and stay at my place, and then I'll go over there with you :-)

Absolutely mad prices and nothing good at all. As I remember the chocolate must be "Аленка" and it has another cover. And when you choose Russian sweets a lot depends from a factory, I can't recognize factory that produce these sweets. There are some popular names, but I don't know if they are really those sweets.

On the average australia wage, the prices are not much more than local confectionary.
