The banners on Wikipedia always struck me as incredibly vain (although I can see that donating to Wikipedia is worthwhile, do they really have to have Jimmy Wales' ugly mug plastered all over them? lol)
Like rockzmom said though, I never even knew you could get extensions for chrome... so thanks for bringing that to my attention :D
Seriously though, try AdBlock and FlashBlock - no ads and no annoying flash (you can add exclusions if you want).
