As far as I know, there has been a movement in Israel named "Petek Lavan" which called for putting a blank ballot as a way to officially register their abstention. The idea has been that if enough people do that (especially if there would be a majority), that would cause significant reform of the political system in Israel. In my opinion, that is a much more productive idea than just not voting; as your vote would still be eventually owned by someone.
That is a hoax. You can vote for a party which does not fulfill their promise, or for a party which lost in the election. Either way the whining is totally legitimate.
Meaning, the notion "по*** на население" is just as applicable to you as to the aforementioned politicians. You can't spare two hours in four years to make your political opinion heard?
That goes back to the "philosophic" question of what's the alternative.
