Your Russian sentence doesn't make any sense, because "прохладный" is never used figuratively in Russian as "cool" is used in English. You should have said one of these:
классный, крутой, клёвый, чёткий
Or you could say "Этот форум рулит" (This forum rules.)

Prikol'no is teenager's slang. I'm 30 but I sometime use this when I talk to my close friends.

That is not true. You will hear "прикольно" and "прикол" even from those who are around 35. Perhaps she meant that slang is used more often by kids than by adults in Russia. You will barely hear any slang from older and retired people.Quote:
