-ло past tense neuter verb ending

Quick, and hopefully easy, one:

When unstressed, does the О in the past tense neuter verb ending -ло reduce to А, please?

Because if it does, that would leave the feminine and neuter sounding the same? Like она работала and оно работало would both sound like ra-bo-ta-la?

Yes. Here feminine and neuter are not distinguishable in pronunciation. Unless someone heavily articulates to emphasize the gender particularly.

They both reduce not to 'a' but to schwa, that sounds not like stressed 'a'.
