Quite interesting site. Maybe very useful for some people who need specific phrases.Originally Posted by DDT

It might not be 100% right but the closest you're going to get for now is like 'Lyubloo".
Вот это да, я так люблю себя. И сегодня я люблю себя, ещё больше чем вчера, а завтра я буду любить себя to ещё больше чем сегодня. Тем что происходит,я вполне доволен!
My suggestion: Lyblyu?
Or is it difficult?

Yeah, but unfortunately there's not anything like "I would never let a woman kick my ass. If she tried something, I'd be like, HEY! You get your bitch ass back in the kitchen and make me some pie!"Originally Posted by Spiderkat
Good idea! Why don't you record that for me and put it in the new Audio Lounge??Originally Posted by net surfer

Don't you think it sounds... well.... how could I say that.... totally rude and so disrespectful to her.Originally Posted by net surfer

DDT, hehe, I'll think about it :)
There are two reasons why this is wrong.Originally Posted by Rtyom

2. This is just a translit. An english speaker will say L-yoo-bl-yoo, which is not how the word is pronounced.

Oh yes. I let the letter out mistakingly. So, what I meant is acceptable.

This is a link to a great site I've seen before but lost track of. Thanks!Originally Posted by DDT
That website, however, uses "люблю" in the context of "love". As in,
я тебя люблю
As the title of this thread states, I am more interested in the phrase "I like...". As in, "I like you". Would that phrase be better stated this way in Russian?
Ты мне нравишься
How would some of you compare the use if these two phrases?
Yep, when it comes to people use the нравиться verb. If you like playing soccer you любишь играть в футболOriginally Posted by JKDMan

You can say "мне нравится играть в футбол" as well and it sounds natural but you're right "я люблю играть в футбол" is more common.
Perhaps someone could clear this up in the audio lounge? Or the topic moved?

If anyone could help with translations or audio recording please email me!
Clear up what?
I once heard somebody say it like this:
я люблю вac
Or you can say "yellow blue bus".
It's not correct at all, but it is strangely close.

"Yellow blue vase" is even better
