They didn't have any. They've got their hands on those companies either by using the flaws of the privatization laws or just plain usurping of the management positions. Most of them didn't invest anything to improve their profits either - instead they were claiming the remaining profit for themselves, leaving the rest of the employees with a tiny salary.
